By means known only to railroad men, the train passed through . ithout stop ping, and at the same time chang ed both engines and caboose. The time made by this train between Portland and Huntington was twenty-four hours. THEY WANT TO INVEST. Petition for a sidewalk on Water street from Hill to Thurston street was read and referred. Chief of Police Hoffman re quested that a pound master be appointed by the council.
