TltiOKOlB DEBATE AC1IK8T IT. Eight. Hundred Girls Thrown Oat of Em ployment Win. Johnson, of Beaver ton, Falls Himself. . . :s The HnuiLD Special Dispatches.) i Washington, Jan. 26. The sen ate committee on territories to-day took up the house bill passed the other day for the admission of north and south Dakota, Montana, Washington territory and New Mexico into the Union. After a session of two hours one of the committee said : "We have spent the entire session in considering this bill. It is noticeable tor its contradictory provisions, and in adequaiity to any territory or part of a territory into the Union as a state. An attempt in a general bill of this character to provide for the local necessities of different territories seems to have been such a failure that if any state might come in under its provisions it would be unable, even in court, to ascertain what its rights are. As tbe bill now stands it is probably the most complicated and most difficult to interpret and administer that has ever passed either house of congress, if we are to pass it. The measure has been referred to a sub-committee, with instructions to see if the inconsistencies can be reconciled so that we can recom mend its passage. f ditor O Bricn h Trial. Dublin, Jan. 25. Halt tbe audience ran to tbe doors in horror, while the attendants tried to beat off the tiger by taking hot irons into tbe cage. But the girl was dead long before tbe animal was driven away. The lion seemed to have been as much frightened as the human spectators, for be took no part in the carnage. The proprietor ot the show has since admitted that this same tiger bad already killed two people. Webster Mistaken. Little Willie (aged 10) Mamma, what it an elite accial club?
