Irish could not pull the wool over the eyes of the Oregon farm ers. The official canvass of the Linn county vote will probably be made lo-day. The democratic majority in Linn couciy this ye.tr is 100 less than at the last election. Returns have been received from all the precincts in Linn county except hox Valley, as appears in the ta'-" a el returns published this morning. The entire democratic county ticket is probably elected. Late lot night it was lea-ned that Blackburn for county judge had a majority of 3 in Fox Valley. Whitney's majority will then be 3 over Blackburn m t' county. It may require t e o ' ci 1 a a;s to decide me vot. . The majority of several of those elected is not over 30, and the average democratic majority is less than 200. The number of prohibition votes cast in the county is estimated at 150. THE STATE. Portland, June 5. The repub lican majority on Hermann for congress and Lord for supreme judge will not be less in the state than four thousand. The republican gains are uniform all over the state. Of 90 members of the legis lature on joint ballot, the republi cans will have about 66; democrats 24. Multnomah county, including Portland, gives over 2500 republi can majority. The result sur prises men of both parties and is universally construed as a protest against the tarirl policy of Presi dent Cleveland. MARION COUNTY. Everv man on the republican county ticket is elected beyond a douot. H. H. Hewitt's majorities as district attorney in Yamhill county are 250, in Marion countv 410 and in Polk 130, with Tilla mook county yet to be heard. In Linn county his vote was 16 be hind Belt.
