REPUBLICAN COUNTY TICKET. order has lost 21,700 members in a l i: 4i :c t. : cerium Lime, uie more sigimii-isnii foci id carefully withhold from the public that a. much larger number of members of better material has been added to the order of the knights of labor, giving them strength and power of resistance they have never had before. T1-.3 organization of the knights has grown to such dimensions, and is exercising such an influence in the commonwealth that it gives pride, pleasure and hope to every laboring man and woman who understands its purposes and power. But not so with the law and mammon protected class which seeks to keep labor down. They view with alarm the influence the knights of labor are wielding their solidarity and the grand spectacle they exhibit to the labor world in the varied industrial pursuits of the country. Hence the misrepre sentation through the subsidized press. The awful amount of stuff sent out from headquarters through the monopolistic press concerning the knights of labor, indicates almost total depravity on the part of the miserable liars who furnish it, and questionable credulity on the part of the papers that repeat it.
