White, former ly o f this city, Mr. W hite being foreman o f the mill here for many years, conveys tbe sad intelligence o f a serious accident in which Arthur, the oldest son, was very seriously if not mortally injured. It seems he was working in a mine in which occurred the prematuro or accidental explosion o f a blast while Arthur was uear and be suf fered the loss of his right arm, it being laterally torn from his body and one if not both eyes and one ear, beside tbe shock that would naturally attend Bach an accident. The many friends of the family in this section will sincerity regiet to hear o f severe an accident to their promising young friend, and feel the deepest sympathy for the family.
