10 Baldwins, half of them 8 to 10
years old, 200 boxes in a single sea­
son. There, was much more fruit
on the trees, but the best only was
marketed.
E. H. Byers, from Stark county,
O., owner of a fiue stock-farm near
Sumner, 1ms about 70 head of cattle,
mostly grade Shorthorns from stock
imported from the Buckeye state.
Mr. Byers has a hobby and that is
bees, of which he has GO stunds.
He might have had many more
swarms, but he practises hnck-
swanuiug, as he prefers a few big,
strong colonies to a largo number
