Alexson has issued a tract replying to Dr. Clark’s lecture on “ Spiritualism.” Prof. Frank Bunch lectured on the subject o f “ Spiritualism” at the academy last Sunday night, and will deal with the subject again next Sunday night. The steamer Bandorille returned to this river from Sau Francisco last Friday afternoon, but broke her shaft just after getting inside the bar. H er freight reached this p'ace from Bandon by the river steamers, and she will remain at Bandon till the receipt o f a new shaft, which will be but a few days. Dr. Dean Clark lectured to a fair audience at the little church last night, chiefly iu reply to Prof. Bunch’s Sunday night lecture. Dr. Clark was warmed up to his work, eloquent and courteous, nnd kept his audience to a late hour. His theme was “ Spiritualism,” and his l.'ctnre devoted to auswering oppos ing theories, and especially those advanced by the Adventist lecturer.
