Apply to GEORGE BENNETT, Bandon, Coos County, Oregon. Our Dora correspondent thinks we ought to let the mail contractor on the Coos Bay road down gently; that he has done all that he reason ably could be expected to. There is no doubt he has worked hard, but what is the reason the paper mail can’t be brought along when the letters come through? There is no question but the paper mail could be brought through the same hole that the other comes, if there were more men and horses employed. No, no, no; it is too plain; if Coos bay can get mail over the same road we should, and when one man gets through, forty could follow in his tracks, if it were necessary. W e hear how mud- holes were filled with sacks of pa per mail in early days on the muddy roads of Oregon, and it were as well if this was being done now, as such mail is worthless when a few mouths old.
