We take umre interest in ever)thing than in the financial policy which ultimately shapes the destinies o f men and nations. Our indiffereuce reacts upon our legis lators, who seem to think and act as if they were releived from all responsi bility upon questions of finance and taxation. It is time that all this should end, and if wc do not mistake the teuor of public opinion there are indications that the financial question will over shadow all others before the country.
