Boyle has his show win dow decorated up in a manner that is decidedly suggestive of the Chris! mas time, and it is attracting a great deal of attention around town. Mt Boyle is alive to his opportunity s as a business man, and aliens believes in keeping up with the times. He has done a fine business in holiday goods and I 11 .is a .stock that is up to the best to be found in any city. Bandon people who are des-rous of having ; the best the market affords do not . need to go elsewhere to get it as our home merchants in all lines are awake to the interests of the public and keep the best in stock at the lowest prices. The show window in F. H. Van Norden’s jewelry store gives one the real inspiration of Christmas with its beautiful Christmas tree, deer rated in a manner too grand for di sci ip- ticn. The window on the other side of the door is also decorated in the real CI11 tistmas style and shows that the proprietor of the store be lieves in having things up to date, and is an artist in the line of decor ating. Mr. Van Norden has I ecu doing a big business this fall, and the coupon ticket scheme by which he is giving away a $50 oodiamond ring, is proving to be a big drawing card, and besides he has a stock of goods that cannot be excelled. Wlile away from home last Sun day, some one went into the home of Mrs. Clara Canterbury, a poor widow woman, and stole a hand mirror valued at $1.50 and two doll s belonging to her children .Anyone | who w ould be so base as to steal ar tides of that kind, especially from | a poor widow an<l and her children, would be low enough t- - do almost ' anything.
