This was particularly true Af the counties west of the Cascades, where no rain occurred. In the easterit counties there were fre quent thunderstorms during the early days of the week, which were ysually attended by high wiftds. The precipitation accompanying these storms was generally very light and in many cases was entirely lacking. This caused a discomfort ing condition of the atmosphere in certain localities.
