Port Orford Note«. From the Tribune. Dr. Glanville is quite ill and is confined to the house at his home in Kort Orford. Dan Anderson, after spending the summer with his children in Coos and Curry, has returned to the Sol dier's Home at Roseburg. Mr. Neumann, Sr., and wife moved up to Bandon List week, where they have purchased a house in town, and have invested in sev eral town lots. His son Otto and family will also locate in Bandon soon. It is stated that the new steamer Baudon may run permanently be tween San Francisco and Yaquina bay, carrying lumber on a charter lately secured. McKay, foreman of Price’s shipbuilding operations at Bandon, was in town Sunday evening going to Portland on a business trip. The plant, which was destroyed by fire last summer, is nearly in shape for business in its new location. The new freight boat built by Ed Ellingston for J. R. Miller of Port Orford, and which is to ply between Coos Bay, Bandon and Port Orford, was launched from the yard above Coquille yesterday at noon. She is a trim and substantial craft, supplied with strong machinery. We learn from the proceedings of the Methodist conference held in Portland that Rev. W S. Gordon has been assigned to the Coquille- Bandon circuit for the ensuing year. Also we note that Rev. G. W. Ellis, late of this pastorate, is assigned to Springfield, Lane County.
