Arago formerly gave a fair every fall and an effort is being made to revive this feature Deer are said to be quite plentiful in the mountains this season, but ar* not so numerous that any waste can be tolerated, and if the party that killed a deer at Alder Springs, taking only the bams and leaving the bal auce of the carcass to the crows and vultures, could be identified it is prob able that they would be dealt with by au indignant public if not an outraged law, The deed was doubly vicious by reason of the fact that it was com mitted before the season for killing deer bad opeued and the little animal wa* a doe.—Enterprise.
