The prime r-quisite to succe.-s and happi-m's- is cheerfulness. The niolherwho allows the blues and sulks to over shadow the home, who allows herself to be moody and discontented, fails in a chief duty and places a handicap on her husband and children in the races of life. No fine is anxious about a vonnr man while he is busy in useful work. IJut where does he eat his lunch ai noon Where does he u when he leaves his boarding house at night? hat does he do after supper? W here does ho spend his Sundays and holi days? The way he Uses his spare moments reveals his character. Most of those who climb upward to honor and fame devote I hair evenings to i-tndy or work or the society of the wise and good. For the right use of these leisure hours, the odd moments usually thrown away, we would plead with every youth. Fach evening is a crises in the career of a young man. There is a deep significance in the lines of Whittier: "This day wo f!ihion Destiny, oar web of Kale we spin ; Thin dav for all hereafter, chua-m wo uoii- iio.-k or sin." Time is money. We should not be stingy or mean with it, but we should not throw away an hour any more than c v.ouhl throw away a dollar bill.
