F&W Intern/ Youth Crew Leader Position Start Date: Ju ne 10, 2019 Duration: 16 w eeks, 40 ho u r s/w eek End Date: Septem ber 27, 2019 Pay: $11.50-$13.50/hr Duties: Su per vise and pr o vide leader ship to an eight -person summer youth work crew for up to eight weeks and assist the Natural Resources Department for approximately six weeks. Pro- jects may include stream and riparian restoration/enhancement, trail maintenance and construc- tion, native vegetation plantings, habitat enhancement monitoring, wildlife monitoring and other natural resource and community projects. Qualifications: Desir e to w o r k w ith yo u th and/o r in natu r al r eso u r ces. Mu st be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain. Experience in the proper use of hand tools. Good communication skills. Requirements: W ork bo o ts, valid Dr iver ’s License, safe driving record. Must successfully com- plete pre-employment background check, drug test, and moderate physical pack test. Must be able to attend 3-day, 3-night (June 19-21, 2019) teamwork and working with at-risk youth training in Bend, OR. Work Location: Natu r al Reso u r ces Office, Gr and Ro nde. Interest in or experience in working in the outdoors helpful. Requirements 1) Furnish own work boots 2) Complete and pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
