Empowerment Outreach is seeking camping equipment, bedding, sleeping bags (broken zipper ok) for homeless families. Photos by Michelle Alaimo Andrew Freeman is hit with a color bomb while shielding his daughter Riley as they participate in the seventh annual Fun Walk/Run on the Tribal campus on Saturday, April 15. Pre-race activities included a disc jockey and inflatable obstacle courses. Golden eggs were hidden throughout the course for prizes and color stations were along the course to cover participants in color. The walk supports safe and happy childhoods and healthy families for Child Abuse Prevention Month and is organized by the Tribe’s Social Services Department’s Children & Family Services program. About 270 people participated in the event. Women’s Transitional House is seeking toilet paper, dish soap, and HE laundry detergent. A Cause for Paws is seeking pet food, toys, and beds. We will take books for our lending library. Clean out your food pantry, we’ll figure out the expiration dates! If you are not sure, bring it or give us a call. St. Michael’s offers brunch St. Michael’s Catholic Church offers an open house brunch every Sunday following Mass. The brunch is free to the community.
