The car show was put on by the Tribe’s Veterans Special Event Board in conjunction with the casino with all proceeds going to help veterans’ organizations over the holiday season. Veterans Special Event Board Chair Steve Bobb Sr. said almost $3,000 was raised despite participation being down because of the weather. “But the quality of the cars was exceptional,” he said. Hofenbredl was honored for his newly assembled 1955 Chevrolet con- vertible. “Put together over the last year with the help and talent of many craftsmen,” Bobb said. “From the beautiful highly polished burgundy metal- lic paint to the two-tone coffee colored leather interior and Mercedes-Benz Hartz material convertible top, modern suspension and 427 big block engine.
