George, Hofendredl honored
Al “Wolf” George won the Best of Show Award and lifelong Grand Ronde
resident John Hofendredl won the Memorial Trophy at the Roll the Dice
Car Show held June 18 at Spirit Mountain Casino.
The car show was put on by the Tribe’s Veterans Special Event Board
in conjunction with the casino with all proceeds going to help veterans’
organizations over the holiday season.
Veterans Special Event Board Chair Steve Bobb Sr. said almost $3,000
was raised despite participation being down because of the weather. “But
the quality of the cars was exceptional,” he said.
Hofenbredl was honored for his newly assembled 1955 Chevrolet con-
vertible. “Put together over the last year with the help and talent of many
craftsmen,” Bobb said. “From the beautiful highly polished burgundy metal-
lic paint to the two-tone coffee colored leather interior and Mercedes-Benz
Hartz material convertible top, modern suspension and 427 big block
engine. Congratulations to John Hofenbredl, well-deserved.” 
