Misty’s husband, Tribal member Eirik Thorsgard, accepted a job with the National Park Service at Yosemite National Park in Mariposa, Calif., in December, so the family is relocating. Between the two of them, they have lived in Grand Ronde and worked for the Tribe for more than 10 years. Misty’s last day as the Cultural Protection compliance technician was March 18. Misty also has a new job with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation at New Melones Lake. The Clothes Closet is seeking school supply Food Initiative seeking applicants The Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative is accepting applications for the upcoming Native Youth in Agriculture Summer Leadership Summit to be held at the University of Arkansas. The summit, now entering its third year, is accepting applications from American Indian, Native Hawaiian and Alaska Native youth aged 15 to 18. The deadline for first-time students is April 11. Eighty-four students representing 47 Tribes attended the summit in 2015 and the program is hoping to serve 100 youths this year. Applications materials can be accessed at www.law.uark.edu/ifai.
