Misty Thorsgard unwraps a water bottle that was a gift from her
Cultural Protection/Tribal Historic Preservation Office co-workers
during a going-away party for her held at the Tribal Community Center
on Friday, March 18. Misty’s husband, Tribal member Eirik Thorsgard,
accepted a job with the National Park Service at Yosemite National Park
in Mariposa, Calif., in December, so the family is relocating. Between
the two of them, they have lived in Grand Ronde and worked for the
Tribe for more than 10 years. Misty’s last day as the Cultural Protection
compliance technician was March 18. Misty also has a new job with the
U.S. Bureau of Reclamation at New Melones Lake.
