The event also marked the 35th anni- versary of the Oregon Legislative Commission on Indian Services. 2005 – The 30th anniversa- ry of the Oregon Legislative Commission on Indian Ser- vices was held at the State Capitol. Many events oc- curred, including a tribute to Tribal veterans, honor songs by the Many Nations Drum, Tribal acknowledgement from former Gov. Wiggs joined about 25 Tribal Elders and their spouses for the event. Elders’ phone numbers wanted The Tribal Elders Committee is compiling a volunteer phone list of Elders. Twice a year, Elders and their spouses go fishing for a day. The fishing gear and lunch are provided and a Tribal fishing license is required. Tribal Elder and Fish and Wildlife Committee member Harold Lyon has made the trip every year. “As a committee, we wanted to do something of value for the Tribe,” said Lyon.
