This includes cattail and tule mats, baskets, mat creasers and needles. On-going projects with advanced carving, Native Art design and basketry tracks. Participants will use the print blocks to make prints and cards with natural and contemporary pigments. We Are Grand Ronde First Fish Ceremony May 8, 2015 at 4:30 pm Opening May 1, 2015 A Collaboration of Events presented by Chachalu: Tribal Museum & Cultural Center and Chehalem Cultural Center The First Fish Ceremony is held each year to commemorate the return of our relatives into the waterways. Each year the Salmon make an epic journey from the Pacific Ocean to the headwaters of our local rivers and streams. The return of the fish has always signified survival in the form of a valuable food source. We celebrate their arrival to commemorate their journey and to ensure their return. 415 E.
