General Council meeting Sunday, Dec. 1 10 a.m. Tribal Community Center Tribal Food Summit to be held in Portland A Tribal Food Summit will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 8-9, to bring together Native local food gatherers, producers, manufacturers and growers. The summit will be held at the Doubletree Hotel, Lloyd Center, 1000 N.E. Multnomah St. The educational event is dedicated to connecting emerging youth leaders with Tribal Elders. There will be a number of keynote speak ers who will discuss the history of Native foods, legal issues and options, and future solutions, including next steps toward realizing the summit's motto of "Protect, Respect, Restore." Cover Oregon assister to visit Portland office A Cover Oregon certified application assister will visit the Portland satellite office, 4445 S.W. St. Michael's offers weekly brunch St. Michael's Catholic Church offers an open house brunch every Sunday following Mass. The brunch is free to the community.
