Completed applications must be received no later than June 28 at 3 p.m. Selection will take place July 12. EdloiicaftDOOT) SGMwey In 2008, the Education Division developed a five-year strategic plan based on information received from the membership. Currently, staff is working toward the completion of another five-year plan. This process includes soliciting input from the membership during community meet ings, educational forums and survey. The objective is to identify membership needs and develop programs and services which meet those needs that maintaining responsible steward ship of Tribal resources. This delicate balance requires extensive planning and exploring outside resources and funding opportunities to supplement Tribal dollars. Below is a link to the Education Division's comprehensive survey. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and information provided will remain anonymous. The survey is available until June 30, 2013. There is an option on the survey to provide contact information to be entered into a drawing to win a Pendleton blanket. httpswww.surveymonkey.comsctgreducationsurvey LIBRARY HOURS: Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. (closed Monday - Friday: noon - 1 p.m.) Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. SUMMER PROGRAMS: The Tribal Library will offer sum mer programs beginning June 17 and running through July 31. This year's theme is "Dig Into Reading." This is the Collaborative Regional Library Theme that will be used by libraries across the nation this year. The library will host the Reading Incentive Pro gram, weekly activity stations and two theme activity sessions. Promotion for the summer programs began on Saturday, April 27, at the annual Healthy Families event sponsored by Tribal programs on campus and at the gym. Reading Incentive Program: Reading Incentive is for ages 4 to 17. Participants earn a "book buck" for each book read at their reading level and they can enter a drawing for other prizes. The Library Book Buck Store will open on July 15 and be open until the program ends on July 31 for youth to spend their book bucks. Activity Sessions: Sessions will be held on Saturday, June 29 and July 13, from noon to 2 p.m. June 29: "Digging Up the Past"; All ages welcome (12 and under must have adult supervision). July 13: "Digging for Treasure"; All ages welcome (12 and under must have adult supervision). Reminder: Donations must be clean; no cassettes, VHS or mass-produced paperback books please.
