The proposed amendments were given a First Reading at the April 10, 2013, Tribal Council meeting. The primary purposes of the proposed amendments are to: (1) Incorporate the provisions of the Budget Hearing Ordinance into the Budget & Appropriations Ordinance; (2) Allow Budget Hearings to be recorded and provide authority for those recordings to be provided to members of the General Council and Tribal staff; (3) Provide that public comments to the draft budget shall be sub mitted to the Finance Officer no later than the December General Council meeting and the Finance Officer shall summarize and trans mit public comments to Tribal Council promptly after the December General Council meeting; and (4) Make formatting and other housekeeping changes. The Tribal Council invites comment on the proposed amend ments to the Budget & Appropriations Ordinance.
