to Oregon Tribal members
Just a reminder from the friendly Save Our Skookum team: If you are an
Oregon resident, May is the last month to either get on the Oregon Health
Plan Reservation List (adults 19 and over), apply for Oregon Healthy Kids
(18 and under) or, if you believe you are over income, you may submit your
proof of income and your family size. If you have already done this, you
are good to GO! No further action is required.
Out-of-Oregon Tribal members, you'll be hearing from us soon.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE
BUDGET & APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE
The Tribal Council, in consultation with the Tribal Attorney's
Office, is considering amendments to the Budget & Appropriations
Ordinance. The proposed amendments were given a First Reading
at the April 10, 2013, Tribal Council meeting. The primary purposes
of the proposed amendments are to:
(1) Incorporate the provisions of the Budget Hearing Ordinance
into the Budget & Appropriations Ordinance;
(2) Allow Budget Hearings to be recorded and provide authority for
those recordings to be provided to members of the General Council
and Tribal staff;
(3) Provide that public comments to the draft budget shall be sub
mitted to the Finance Officer no later than the December General
Council meeting and the Finance Officer shall summarize and trans
mit public comments to Tribal Council promptly after the December
General Council meeting; and
(4) Make formatting and other housekeeping changes.
The Tribal Council invites comment on the proposed amend
ments to the Budget & Appropriations Ordinance. For a copy of the

May 6, 13 and 20, and Sunday, May 26 (Monday, May 27, is Labor Day)
in Room 126 of the Adult Education Building.

Grand Ronde Tribal Cultural
CenterMuseum Project
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde (CTGR) is seeking
proposals from licensed and qualified general contractors for the
renovation of the former Willamina Middle School into the Tribe's
Cultural CenterMuseum located in Grand Ronde, Ore. CTGR in
tends to select contractors based on their qualifications and experi
ence. Selected contractors will be requested to submit competitive
bids for the project at a later date.
