In May, there will be fancy dance and jingle dress classes on Monday, May 6, 13 and 20 and Sunday, May 26. (Monday, May 27, is Labor Day.) Classes are taught by Dara Dickinson. B Healthy Families Run Walk scheduled The third annual Healthy Families 3K5K RunWalk and Kids Fun Run will be held rain or shine on Saturday, April 27. Registration will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Tribal gym. The Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and younger will begin at 11 a.m. and the 3K and 5K run and walk will begin at 11:15 a.m. There will be music, lunch, T-shirts and information. After the run, there will be a Family Movie Day held in the Tribal gym showing "Wreck-It Ralph." Children & Family Services will serve lunch and Youth Prevention will serve desserts, snacks, water and juice. There also will be door prizes. The events are sponsored by the Tribe's Children and Family Services, Youth Prevention, Youth Education and Recreation de partments, and the Community Awareness Team. B Chinulc Family Night to be held A Chinuk Family Night will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Tribal gym. The event will be hosted by the Chinuk Wawa high school class. Dinner will be provided. B NonTribal spouse premium contribution increase The Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon will be increasing the nonTribal member spouse's premium contri bution from $50 monthly to $100 monthly. This change will become effective May 1, 2013 Amendment: Because of insufficient time to notify the affected members in a timely manner, the change in premium for nonTribal spouses covered under the Skookum Health Program will begin May 1, 2013. The premium is billed out a month ahead of time so your new invoice will show the new premium amount beginning with your April billing. For those members using ACH, the automatic withdrawal will begin in April as well. Health Plan staff apologizes for any inconvenience. This change was approved by Tribal Council during the 2013 budget process. The premium contribution increase from the current $50 to $100 monthly will be for all spouses on the Skookum Health Plan and any new enrollees to the Plan. The effective date will be 512013. If your family member's or friend's plot is a veteran and we do not have a veteran's flag present on holidays, please inform us. We will do our best to mark all plots of veterans.
