Casino delivers truckload of toys to Doernbecher By Jocelyn Huffman Casino Sponsorship administrator Spirit Mountain Casino em ployees delivered a truckload of toys to Doernbecher Children's Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 20, for the fifth consecutive year. The three-week Holiday Toy Drive encouraged casino guests to bring in new, unwrapped toys in exchange for free slot play between Nov. 26 and Dec. 17. The toys were delivered in a semi-truck provided by Portland-based TP Freight Lines, which has become another an nual part of the toy drive. "Spirit Mountain is pleased to partner with Doernbecher on the annual Toy Drive," said Spirit Mountain Casino General Manager Randy Dugger. "We are all very appreciative of the staff and volunteers of the hos pital for all their work, and are grateful to our guests for their generosity and support of this effort. "Thank you to the staff at Spirit Mountain for their work in organizing and supporting this event. On behalf of the Con federated Tribes of Grand Ronde and Spirit Mountain Casino, we wish everyone a wonderful holi day season and the very best for the new year." The primary purpose of the proposed amendment is to eliminate the requirement that Tribal Council must approve compensation of director level and higher employees employed by Tribal corporations, such as Spirit Mountain Gaming, Inc. The Tribal Council invites comment on the proposed amendment to the Governmental Corporations Ordinance.
