Smoke Signals 15 MARCH 15, 2011 CTGR Competitive Scholarships Applications are now available for 2011 CTGR Competitive Schol arships. Applicants must be enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. To apply online, please visit www.grandrondel orgtemplate.aspx?id4172. Please call Education if you are unable to apply online at 1-800-422-0232, ext. 1345. The early bird deadline is April 1, and the final deadline is April 30. Applications received by April 1 will receive one additional point to the total score. K-12 Parent Committee meets The monthly K-12 Parent Committee meetings are held the last Wednes day of the month from September through June. LIBRARY HOURS: Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. (closed Monday - Friday: noon - 1 p.m.) . Saturday: 10 a.m. 2 p.m. Library Expansion: Construction is under way with completion expected in mid-April. Please be aware that there may be times we need to close the library with little advance notice as a safety pre caution of people and property. We will make every effort to provide notification of closures if and when possible. Some of the Tribal Library collection has been placed in storage as well as most of the furnishings, two of the computer stations and some . of the shelving. While we have remained open, services are limited to circulations and computer use. Donations are being accepted at this " time, but they will remain in storage until construction is complete and full operations resume. Tiny Tots Program: The program has been canceled until comple tion of the expansion project and will resume in May. Learning Express Library: The Library is connected to a new online resource for students and job seekers. The Learning Express resource database offers a wide range of tools, including exercises for learning computer skills, tips for writing better resumes and practice tests for the GED, SATACT and citizenship exams.
