He was 60. Mr. Quenelle was born Aug. 11, 1947, in McMinnville to Tribal members Leonard and Lizzette Quenelle. He spent his youth in Grand Konde and Salem. He later lived in California for many years before returning to the area in 1990. I le worked in railroading and logging. At one time, he worked as a profes sional climber. Mr. Quenelle loved horse racing and recently was a winner by placing his money on Indian Blessing. He also enjoyed hunting, woodcutting, growing tomatoes, participating in pow-wows and watching Seattle Seahawks games. He is survived by two sisters, Tribal members Evelyn "Toni" Quenelle of Salem and Carol Williams of Siletz, and a brother, Donald of Vancouver, Wash. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, in 1989, and son, Ivan, in 1994. Burial services were held Nov. 3 at Grand Konde Tribal Cemetery.
