The first reading of the proposed amendment was made at the March 21, 2007,. Tribal Council meeting. The purpose of the amendment is to increase the number of staff persons allowed to serve on a committee from two (2) to three (3). As a result of the amendment, Section (f)(1)(B) of the General Committee and Special Event Board Ordinance would read as follows: A committee may only have three (3) staff persons serving at a time. Where more than three (3) staff persons serve on the same committee, the lease senior staff persons shall lose their committee seat. The Tribal Council invites comment on the proposed amendment. Comments must be received by April 30, 2007 at 5 p.m. TIMBER SALE SEALED BID OPENING ON THE GRAND RONDE RESERVATION The "690 Thin Logging Unit", located in S 54 Section 6, Section 7 & NW 'A Section 18, Township 5S, Range 7W, Willamette Meridian, and S A Sec tion 12 & E Vi Section 13, Township 5S, Range 8W, Willamette Meridian, on the Grand Ronde Indian Reservation in Yamhill County, Oregon will be open for public bid. This logging unit contains approximately 238.02 acres to be commercially thinned and 16.35 acres to be clearcut harvested. The timber consists of an estimated volume of 4,315,000 board feet of Douglas-fir and Other Conifers - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs to be auctioned at a minimum bid rate of $337.14 per thousand board feet net scale. Red Alder and Other Hardwoods - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs may be sold at the predetermined rate of $486.61 per thousand board feet net scale; All Conifer Species - Wood Logs and Other Wood Products may be sold at the predetermined rate of $102.70 per thousand board feet gross scale or $15.62 per ton, as applicable. The stated volumes for the above timber sale are estimates and are not guaranteed.
