APRIL 1,2006 Smoke Signals 13 Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority CALLING ALL KIDS! IT'S A POSTER CONTEST! It's time for the AMERIND Risk Management Corporation, 2006 National Fire and Home Safety Poster Contest, for children cur rently in grades K through 8 (only one entry per child). All posters entered are to illustrate a fire safety theme and must be originals created by the child in crayon, markers or paint, drawn horizontally on 8.5" x 1 1" paper (no pencils please). This year's winner of the poster contest will receive a $2,000 sav ings bond in his or her name. Entry forms are available through the Grand Ronde Tribal Hous ing Authority office, at 28450 Tyee Road, Grand Ronde, or by calling Shawn Kennedy or Terri White at 503-879-2401 or 1-800-422-0232, extension 2401. Community Potluck: 2nd Saturday of the month. Beginning Moccasin: class limited to 5 people, l-3pm, Wednesday and Friday. Beginning beading: on moccasins limited to 10 people l-3pm Wednesday and Friday. If anyone wants to sign up for any yoga or cultural class they need to pre-register for the class and fill out a short term training through education, so the class will be paid for.
