Dear Smoke Signals, After becoming seriously ill in December, I'd like to acknowledge and ex press my thanks to everyone who was there to aid in my recovery. First, thank you to my mother, Jackie Provost, and my sister, Molly Leno for spending time with me, taking care of my home and pets during my two week hospital stay. Thank you to John and Hollie Mercier for ensur ing that my son, Kalim, was able to visit nearly every day. Joann Mercier, thank you for bringing Kalim when you could and the cheerful visits. Thank you to Mychal Leno for bringing me the hospital survival package! A big thank you to all my co-workers and friends at Spirit Mountain Ca sino for the visits, flowers and support during my absence. Thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Willamette Valley Hospital, espe cially the staff in ICU, for taking care of me. Thank you to Linda Bird for my follow-up care. And, thank you to Joseph Randall for cooking and tak ing care of me when I was able to return home. There are so many others who called, sent flowers, cards and prayers that meant so much to me. I am grateful to still be alive and the support and encouragement from all of you has made me feel blessed in many ways. Sincerely, Camille Mercier Roll 1982 in PEflDIJNEDnTE ISSUE DATE Frl.,reb.3 FEB. 15 Fri.,Feb.l7 MAR. 1 m.,Mar.3 .MAR. 15 Mon., Mar. 20 APR. 1 Wed., Apr. 5 APR. 15 Than., Apr. 20 MAT. 1 Frl.,May5 MAT. 15 n : i BRENT MERRILL PUBLIC INFORMATION MANAGEREDITOR 503-879-2321 brem.merrinirandronde.oif JUSTIN PHILLIPS GRAPHIC DESIGNER 503-879-2190 Mtin.phWpsgrandronde.org RON KARTEN STAFF WRITER 503-879-4663 ron.kartergramlronde.org TOBYMCCLARY PHOTOJOURNALIST 503-879-1358 toby.mcdarygrandronde.org TERI MERCIER CENTRAL PHONES 503-879-5211 tert.merclergrandronde.org HEATHER BOYLAN PRODUCTION ASSISTANT II 503-879-1416 heather.bc7af)gramlronde.org SHELLY KENT CENTRAL PHONES 503-879-5211 shetty.kentgrandronde.org 3f KRISTEN RAVIA SECRETARY 503-879-1453 ltristen.iavlagrandronde.org SMOKE SIGNALS, a publication of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, is published twice a month.
