Almost Time To Pow-WOW The Tribal Pow-wow grounds are undergoing im provements during preparation for the upcoming pow-wow season. Excess fill dirt from the Tribe's new housing complex was used for the project. The entire area is being leveled for better drainage and re-seeded with new grass. The Veterans' Pow-wow is set for July 11,12 and 1 3 and the Tribe's Annual Pow-wow is August 15,16 and 1 7 Dear Tribal Council and Tribal members, I am not a Tribal member but my wife Jessie is and we live in Grand Meadows across from the Tribal Cemetery. I just want to say that I hope everyone appreciates, as I do, how beauti ful our cemetery looks. It is mostly due to the efforts of Russ, Gene and the rest of the cemetery crew. Of course it is their job, but from what I have observed it goes beyond what is required of them. So, when we get a chance, let's let them know that we care and appreci ate their hard work. Keep up the good work fellows. Denny Brann, Spouse of Jessie Brann, Roll 3722 Dear Education Department, Words cannot begin to express our appreciation and gratitude for the assistance the Tribal Education Department has been to our daughter, Kelsey, through her four years of college. Not only did we receive finan cial assistance, but much needed guidance and words of encouragement as we walked upon this new path. We can't believe that four years have passed so quickly. A special, heartfelt thank you to Marion Mercier and April Campbell! Thank you for being there every step of the way for Kelsey as well as for our family! Very sincerely, Michael and Tammy Mercier H?" - " fr-tm i I ' ! t I : Smoke Signals Is Now Available In Sheridan The Tribal Newspa per is now available at the IGA Market in Sheridan.
