Full Ride Scholarship American Indian owned and operated, Upper Mohawk, Inc. is offering a full ride scholarship to an American Indian Youth. The Seventh Gen eration Scholarship Fund at the heart of Upper Mohawk Inc. is the value of giving back to the community in which benefits reach into the "Seventh Generation." Therefore, American Indian youth will receive scholarships designed to fulfill their financial need for a college education and will be afforded opportunities for internships and mentoring. The scholarship package is designed not only to educate American Indian youth but to empower and support their growth and development. Applicants selected are eligible to receive up to $20,000 per year based on their financial need. Deadline for applications is January 31, 2003. Students are to begin classes the fall of 2003. University of Washington School of Medicine The University of Washington School of Medicine will be hosting the Western Consortium Minority Medical Education Program (WC-MMEP) this summer. WC-MMEP, now in its 14th year, is a six-week summer enrichment program for promising disadvantaged and underserved stu dents interested in a career in medicine. To date, there have been 583 graduates from this program that have matriculated to medical school. The MMEP deadline is March 1, 2003. Interested students may apply online at www.aamc.orgmmep.
