Smoke Signals PLAYWORLD Struts its Stuff at Grand Opening Located at Spirit Mountain Casino; former SuperPlay becomes PlayWorld. 4 APRIL 15, 2001 By Willie Mercier It's the stuff that childhood fantasy is made of video games, movies and ice cream. All of this and more are waiting for kids at Spirit Mountain's PlayWorld. Formerly known as Superplay, Play World celebrated it's grand opening on Friday, March 31. A mountain bike, CD boom boxes and free passes were just some of the prizes given away dur ing the grand opening. There have been some changes to PlayWorld since the casino pur chased it from the former owners. The first change was the name, from SuperPlay to PlayWorld. Other changes that might not be as obvi ous were additions to the play struc ture, like a spaceship that creates a fog effect. I 4-" i fit V - ; ' lif' u ? 7ff . The grand opening was delayed be cause the PlayWorld team wanted to have all of the new changes in place, without any kind of service interrup tion, before they celebrated the acqui sition of the facility. a-4VAtyitisi-t II -V.. 1 fV 4 I 1 .. 1 I .i l "vi Tj ': '-t' 3 wu' I ' ' I?
