Representing Harvard Univer sity in Grand Ronde were Erik Hensen (center), Andrew Lee and Jo seph Kalt (right). Hensen is a research fellow on Harvard's American Indian economic development. Lee is the Executive Director for Harvard's American In dian Economic Development program. Kalt is a professor for Harvard's Ford Foundation of International Political Economy. Case No.: C-00-07-008 DECREE CHANGING NAME In the Matter of: RIFE Steven Edward, Petitioner Based on the allegations set forth in the petition for change of name filed by the petitioner in the above en titled case and its supporting affida vit, THE COURT FINDS: 1. The petitioner is over 18 years of age; 2. The petitioner is an enrolled mem ber of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon; 3. The petitioner has not petitioned and been granted a change of name by the Tribal Court within the past twelve (12) months; 4. All persons entitled to notice have been properly served with a copy of the Notice for Name Change, and; 5. No objection to the petition has been filed by any creditor or former spouse of the petitioner. Based on the foregoing findings THE COURT DECREES: 1. That the name of the petitioner be changed from Steven Edward Rife to LONE-BULL WALKING; 2. That the Clerk of the Tribal Court shall cause a copy of this order to be published in the Tribal Newspaper; 3. That the Clerk of the Tribal Court shall submit a certified copy of this order to the Tribal Enrollment office; 4. That the petitioner shall surren der all old Tribal Identification cards bearing petitioner's former name to the Tribal Enrollment office prior to the Enrollment office issuing peti tioner new Tribal Identification cards bearing the petitioner's new namej 5. That within sixty (60) days from the date of this order the Tribal En rollment staff and if necessary the Tribal Enrollment Committee shall cause new Tribal Identification cards to be issued to petitioner showing the new name of the Tribal member and shall change the official membership roll and all official enrollment records of the Tribe to reflect the petitioner's new name as stated in this Decree; 6. That the Oregon Department of Vital Statistics is authorized to issue a new birth certificate to petitioner in such form as to indicate that his name is Lone-Bull Walking. The general public is invited to review proposed changes to existing bus schedules. There is parking available behind University Center located on the cor ner of Monmouth Ave. and Church St. Although a parking lot sign states permit only, it is okay to park there for this forum. OCTOBER 14 Great Oregon Fall Beach Cleanup October 14 is the date for the 17th annual Great Oregon Fall Beach Cleanup. Stop Oregon Litter & Van dalism (SOLV) would appreciate your assistance. The International Coastal Cleanup is scheduled for September 16. However, Oregon's cleanup is October 14 and there will be no orga nized cleanup effort in the state on September 16. The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. along the entire Oregon coast. Volunteers may check in at one of 41 meeting sites, pick up a litter bag, and head down to the beach to help improve the coast for wildlife and winter visitors. Coordi nators suggest volunteers bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and be safe while having a good time. Groups of 20 or more are asked to register in advance by calling the appropriate Zone Captain. SOLV is a statewide organization founded in 1969 by Governor Tom McCall and other community lead ers.
