Smoke Signals rui n nKOnM LrUUN U UUX1I PUBLIC NOTICE: BID OPENING JUNE 29 TIMBER SALE AUCTIONS on the Grand Ronde Indian Reservation 14 Tribal timber within the COYOTE THIN LOGGING UNIT, located 1 1 on the Grand Ronde Indian Reservation in portions of Sections 1 and cUa 12, Township 5S, Range 8W, Willamette Meridian, Yamhill County, Oregon and a portion of Sections 18, Township 5S, Range 7W, Willamette Meridian, Yamhill County, Oregon will be available for public bid. This logging unit contains approximately 106.66 acres to be thinned and 6.82 acres of right-of-way to be clearcut harvested. The timber consists of an estimated volume of 1,000,000 board feet of Douglas-fir and Other Conifers - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs to be auctioned at the minimum bid rate of $413.14 per thousand board feet, net scale. There is no predetermined vol ume of hardwood to be sold. However, if it becomes necessary to harvest hardwood trees, the predetermined rate for which Red Alder and Other Hard woods Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs may be sold is $330.09 per thousand board feet, net scale. All Conifer Species - Wood Logs and Other Wood Prod ucts may be sold at the predetermined rate of $68.19 per thousand board feet, gross scale, or $17.62 per ton, as applicable. I Tribal timber within the BIG GROUSE COMBINATION LOGGING UNIT, located on the Grand Ronde Indian Reservation in portions of iSections 11 and 12, Township 5S, Range 8W, Willamette Meridian, Yamhill County, Oregon will be available for public bid. This logging unit contains approximately 41.00 acres to be thinned and 37.65 acres to be re generation harvested. The timber consists of an estimated volume of 2,084,000 board feet of Douglas-fir and Other Conifers - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs to be auctioned at the minimum bid rate of $381.93 per thousand board feet net scale. A predetermined volume of 16,000 board feet of Red Alder and Other Hardwoods - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs will be sold to the high bidder for a lump sum payment of $6,016.48. All Conifer Species -Wood Logs and Other Wood Products will be sold to the high bidder at the predetermined rate of $82.30 per thousand board feet, gross scale, or $13.48 per ton, as applicable. I Tribal timber within the SAYA LOGGING UNIT, located in portions I of the Southwest 14 Section 30 and North lA Section 31, Township '4S, Range 7W, Willamette Meridian, Yamhill County, Oregon will be available for public bid. This Logging Unit contains approximately 71.46 acres to be cut. The timber consists of an estimated volume of 2,651,608 board feet of Douglas-fir and Other Conifers - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs to be auctioned at the minimum bid rate of $464.47 per thousand board feet, net scale. A predetermined volume of 9,393 board feet of Red Alder and Other Hardwoods - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs will be sold to the high bidder for the lump sum payment of $3,737.29. All Conifer Species - Wood Logs and Other Wood Products will be sold to the high bidder at the prede termined rate of $88.16 per thousand board feet, gross scale, or $13.41 per ton, as applicable. Jl Tribal timber within the KATSUK THIN LOGGING UNIT, located fJ Lin portions of Section 9,10,15, and 16, Township 5S, Range 8W, Wil UTlamette Meridian, Yamhill County, Oregon will be available for public bid. This Logging Unit contains approximately 268 acres to be thinned. The timber consists of an estimated volume of 2,141,000 board feet of Douglas-fir and Other Conifers - Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs to be auctioned at the minimum bid rate of $411.71 per thousand board feet, net scale. A predeter mined volume of 13,000 board feet of Red Alder and Other Hardwoods -Peeler and Sawmill Grade Logs will be sold to the high bidder for a lump sum payment of $4,820.00. All Conifer Species - Wood Logs and Other Wood Products will be sold to the high bidder at the predetermined rate of $65.57 per thousand board feet, gross scale, or $14.42 per ton, as applicable. The above stated volumes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Timber purchased from the Grand Ronde Tribe is subject to primary manufacture in the United States and is not subject to substitution laws. The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Bureau of Indian Affairs reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
