DUTIES OF CURRENT POSITION: "I work with tribal members through the employment application process and gaming licensure process with the Gaming Commission. I work with other departments to find solutions to better help tribal members be successful in their jobs and lives." JOY OF YOUR JOB: "Working with people. I have a great manager and team." There is a Tribal Preference Hiring Policy in effect for all enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. 1. GETTING READY A Be sure you know where the interview is taking place. Get directions if necessary. Put your best foot forward by looking clean, neat and professional. Dress appropriately. Remember, you're in a business environment. Be prepared! Be sure and know what the job requirements and responsi bilities of the position you are interviewing for. 2. ONCE YOU ARE THERE Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early! This will also make a great first impression! Identify yourself and state why you are there. Once in the interview, introduce yourself and shake hands. 3. THE INTERVIEW Be sure to smile and make eye contact during the interview. Make sure to sit up straight and direct your attention to the interviewers. Try not to fidget (tapping fingers, wiggling legs). A "Sell yourself." Be sure by the time the interview is completed the inter viewers know all your strong points as an employee. Once the interview is complete, shake hands and thank the interviewers for the opportunity to learn more about their department. LICENSING PROCESS To become a Spirit Mountain Casino employee you must be able to be licensed by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission. You must complete an application for the gaming license. High Security License asks for 10 years of work history and 10 years of residence. Low Security License asks for five years of work history and five years of resi dence. In most cases, you cannot have had a felony in the past 10 years. This is just a brief overview of the process for interviewing and licensing to become a Spirit Mountain Casino employee.
