4 Business and Community Smoke Signals West Valley YMCA gets started By Kim Mueller The newly formed West Valley YMCA is look ing for a team of 25 members to meet once a month as a Board of Managers. This is one good way to get involved with the Grand Ronde, Willamina, and Sheridan areas. It is a volunteer-based orga nization which enriches the lives of youth, teens, adults, and active seniors. Some of the activities already offered in the West Valley are youth sum mer camps, year-round sports, aerobic and weight training at Sheridan High School, Night Court, and family campfire nights. The YMCA's motto is: We build strong kids, strong families, strong communities. Anyone in terested in dedicating one night a month to the de velopment of the activities that will be offered in the Grand Ronde, Willamina and Sheridan area please attend the next West Valley YMCA meet ing at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at Sheridan City Hall. The course materials and in dividual counseling sessions allow participants to work through the business planning process. .
