ELDER HOUSING: The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority was recently notified that it will receive $598,265 in funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Native American Programs for the construction of an additional five units of rental housing for Elders. Five units was the maximum available to the Authority to apply for. These five units will be constructed along with the 15 units which were previously funded. An architect has been selected, and all 20 units will be designed in the next few months, with input from the Elders and other interested tribal members.
