By Linda Mann, RDH A very special thank you to all those who volunteered to help with Molar Roller Skat ing Party and Dental Health Fair. It was a big success thanks to all the wonderful help we had. Close to one hundred children came to skate and have fun learning about dental health. The booths covered topics such as sealants, tobacco, nutrition, brushing, flossing, and more. The children got to role play being dentist and placing fillings in models of real teeth. The magic tricks were a popular stop as well as the "Wheel of Wisdom" game. Once again, thank you to the thirty volunteers who helped make it a success. Don't miss out next year! During the month of April, a Dental Hygiene student from OHSU will be doing a rural rotation at the dental clinic. Janet Rauch will be coming for two weeks to learn what it's like to work in a rural dental clinic. She will be doing a variety of community dental health projects, such as pre senting at the Head Start, elementary, and middle schools; and help ing with Senior Smile Week activities. If you see her around, please help us make her feel welcome. Congratulations to Connie Graves, winner of the St. Patrick's Day drawing. Connie won a stationary set. Don't forget to enter to win the Easter drawing this month. Anyone can enter for the drawing when they come in for a dental appointment. This month's prize is a Russell Stover Chocolate Easter Egg (and toothbrush)! And for the kids the Dental and Medical clinic is sponsoring an Eas ter coloring contest.
