' - Annual elk drawing will be held on August 7 The Fish & Wildlife Committee will hold it's annual elk tag drawing on August 7, 1995 at 5 p.m. at the Tribal Community Center. Drawing Rules: Only one application per category. Multiple ap plications will result in all applications being in valid for the individual. All applications must be completely filled out and turned into the Fish & Wildlife Department by 12:00 noon on August 7, 1995. Tribal members must select their preference for the first or second season elk hunt. The prefer ence must be circled on the application form. If no preference is selected or both circled, the ap plication will be invalid. Those interested in the bow elk hunt may also submit an application for general elk, but their name will be withdrawn from the general elk if they draw a bow tag. Bow and general elk season tag applicants may also apply for the controldamage hunt of their choice. General elk tag winners will also be eligible for a controldamage elk tag. New committee member is needed The Fish & Wildlife Committee is currently ac cepting applications to fill one position. Applicants must be knowledgeable in the tribal hunting and fish ing area, and familiar with tribal and state laws. Applications can be picked up at the Tribal Fish & Wildlife department, or by calling Karen Larsen at (503)879-2376. The deadline for returning your application is Au gust 1, 1995. The con test was sponsored by the Fish & Wildlife Com mittee and the Timber Committee. Nancy was awarded $50 for her beautiful artwork. Nancy works for the Tribe's Public Works office and is quickly becoming known for her skill as an artist.
