Analyzes environmental data and recommends data collection. Investigates environmental health hazards and other environmental problems on Tribal lands and community. Assesses Tribal government compliance with federal environmental laws and regulations. Compiles environmental assessments and conducts NEPA process for Tribal projects and programs. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Requires BABS in environmental science, physical or natural science, or environmental studies, natural resource management, urban planning; two years work experience in environmental, scientific or natural resources fields; or any combination of experience and training which demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skill and ability to perform the above described duties. KNOWLEDGE OF: Research methodology, planning procedures and data collection protocol useful. Knowledge of National Environmental Policy Act and federal environmental regulatory programs helpful.
