The Community Action Agency of Yamhill County (YCAP) currently has funds available which are targeted for Native Americans. Applicants must be low-income homeowners of renters according to the following guidelines: Family Size Annual Gross Income Monthly Income 1 $9,200 $766.67 2 12,300 1,025.00 3 15,400 1,283.33 4 18,500 1,541.67 5 21,600 1,800.00 6 24,700 2,058.33 7 27,800 2,316.67 8 30,900 2,575.00 If you think you meet the guidelines and would like to apply for free weatherization services such as insulation, storm windows, weather-stripping, window repairs, or other services related to heat waste or furnace efficiency improvements, you can call Marilyn Bergsma at the YCAP office (503) 472-0457, before April 1st. Funds may be limited after that time, so call now. Several other agencies in Oregon also have funds targeted for weather ization services for Native Americans. Classes will be located in the Band Room at the Grand Ronde Grade School and will run from 4:45-7:15 p.m. Classes are open to community members who are interested in work ing on their GED. Natural Resources has moved To make room for Spirit Mountain Resort on Highway 1 8, the Natural Resources Division of the Tribe has been relocated. Their new address is: 47010 S.W. All welcome to On Feb 10, the staff began a se ries of lunchtime forums focusing on day-to-day operation of the tribal offices and programs. The forums are held at the Community Center from 1 1 :30 a.m. until I p.m., and will continue through July. Below is a list of remaining fo rum topics and the dates they will be held. All forums take place on Friday. Tribal members and staff are encouraged to attend. Inter ested community members may also attend. March 24th: Indirect Costs, presented by Jim Sizemore Each bidder must state the price per thousand board feet, net Scribner Log Scale, that will be paid for timber cut and scaled from this unit. No bid per thousand board feet of less than $6 1 5.90 per MBF net scale for Douglas-fir and other conifers. Peeler and sawmill grade logs will be considered. Red Alder and other hardwoods, peeler and sawmill grade logs, wood logs and other wood products will be paid for at the predetermined value of $ 1 1 ,3 1 9.00 (total price). No bid ding will be permitted on Red Al der and other hardwoods, peeler and sawmill grade logs, wood logs and other wood products. All co nifer species, wood logs and other wood products, removed at the purchaser's option, will be pur chased at the rate of $165.40 per thousand board feet gross scale. No bidding will be permitted on all conifer species, wood logs and other wood products. Domestic Manufacturing Re quirement: All sawtimber from this scale shall be restricted for primary manufacture in the United States. This sawtimber is not subject to substitution laws. The deposit of the apparent high bidder, and of others who submit written requests to have their bids considered for ac ceptance will be retained, pending acceptance or rejection of the bids. All other deposits will be returned. The deposit of the successful bid der will be applied as part of the purchase price against timber cut on this unit, or retained as liqui dated damages if the bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the amount of one hundred sixty three thousand dollars ($163,000.00) within thirty (30) days of acceptance of his bid. An acceptable performance bond will be in the form of a cashier's check, bank draft, postal money order. United States negotiable securities, irrevocable letter of credit.
