General Members: I want to make you aware of the concerns that will arise at our monthly general meetings because of the upcoming rainy season. As the wet season ap proached, we need to park our cars in either of two areas. On designated black top areas or on the grassy area between the two driveways on the east side of St. Michaels property. Parking our cars in one of these two areas will insure that the cars will not get stuck in the soft ground. Members who are not aware, the S. Yamhill River and a 5 ft. deep ditch are adjacent to St. Michaels property. The water level will be high as a result of the rains. Because of the hazardous conditions, we do not want our children to play in these immediate areas. With your cooperation, we hope there will be no problems in the future of our general meetings. For those of you who were not able to attend the last general meeting on Sept. 8, board members for the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Indians Inc. were elected. New board members are: Merle Holmes, Bonnie Martin, Bob Mercier, Nancy Coleman, Dean Mercier, Ed Larsen, Lennis Mercier, Val Grout and Ivanetta Cook. The tribal council is still educating the general public and interested parties, of our proposed reservation land. We have met and will continue to meet with affected parties, for the next few weeks. We have copies of the preliminary draft of our reservation plan at the tribal office. Any tribal member who wishes to look at the draft, may do so, but please keep the draft at the office, because copies are limited. After meet ing with the general public and organizations the final draft shall be printed. If there are any questions, please feel welcome to call the tribal office. A Special Thank You to Val Grout for the lucious meal she had for the Elders and the Pow Wow Committee. There were 22 of us enjoyed the meal and a good visit. Those persent were.
