COMMUNITY" ORGANIZER COMMENTS CON'T . . . . More exposure for the Grand Ronde Tribes occurred at the local level on the night . of January 25 . 1982, when the slide presentation was shown to members of the Eastern Star in McMinnville, Oregon. The presentation was viewed by approximately 25 members of the Eastern Star organization (all were in their formal attire). Many comments were made in favor of the Restoration of The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. Refreshments of cheesecake, coffee and tea served afterwards and Jackie Colton and I were invited to stay and share this with them. As you can see, it's been a busy month for me since changing from Enrollment Clerk to Community Organizer and I've enjoyed every minute!!! My plans in this new -position are many and I find it -both exciting and challenging, to say the least. In the days to come, as I travel around Oregon, I'll be meeting with many of you for the first time and renewing old friendships with others - - - and together, .s one Nation, on Voice - United, we can work towards reaching our goal of RESTORATION!
