Anyone found w ithout a perm it will be cited. Perm it requirements are fees are as follows: Tribal members: A per m it is n ot required to harvest, possess or transport less than one gallon o f m ushroom s on the reservation or in thé state o f O regon. I t is encouraged th at all tribal members planning on harvesting m ore than one gal lon o f m ushroom s obtain a free m ushroom perm it avail able at the Forestry office. In- Common morel form ation from m ushroom perm its will help the tribes manage this resource. Married into the tribes (MIT): Individuals married to an enrolled tribal m em ber cannot harvest m ushroom s w ithout a perm it. A special perm it is available w hen the M IT is accom panied by an enrolled member. Non-tribal member, or individuals n o t married into the tribe: Non-tribal members and non-M ITs cannot har vest m ushroom s on the res ervation. Re-sale perm its for tribal m em bers and MITs: A Re sale M ushroom Perm it is re quired if: You are 16 years or older and harvest m ush room s to sell; or, You sire married into the tribe and will harvest mush room s with a tribal member; or, You harvest, possess or transport m ore than one gal lon o f m ushroom s on the W arm Springs R eservation o f the state o f Oregon, Tribal enrollment card or p ic tu re id e n tific a tio n fo r M IT s m u s t be in th e perm itee’s possession while harvesting and transporting mushrooms. E a c h year in te re s t has been growing in harvesting edible mushrooms on the res ervation. P roper identifica tion and determ in atio n o f w hether a m ushroom is ed ible is critical.
