L ib rary s ta ff w elcom e children; however, there have been some issues. Some children have been viewing inappropriate w eb sites, n o t listening to direc tions, or being disruptive. Some children are coming in unattended, or without the permission or knowledge o f their caregivers. In order to address these issues, and provide a safe, comfortable environment for people of all ages, the library is enforcing the follow ing rules. T h e lib rary is n o t a babysitting service, and li brary staff are n o t respon sible for watching children. Please be aware the library is a public place accessible to anyone. • Children under 10 must be accompanied and super vised by a parent or guardian at all times while in the library. Police may be notified if any child under TO is left unat tended. • Children 10 and older may use the. Library u n at tended, as long as their con duct is acceptable in a library Prevention hosting Youth Leadership event T he W arm Springs P re vention Program is putting on a Youth Leadership event this Thursday, Jan. 23 at 4:30 in the Community Counseling Center prevention room. I t ’s open to m iddle and high school age boys and girls. Youth will work on leadership and team w ork skills, plan co m m u n ity activ ities and learn a b o u t field trip and youth conference opportuni ties. Sweetheart Sale coming up W arm Springs Recre ation will host the Sweet heart Sale on Friday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shop fo r your sweet heart, and get a special and unique gift. T he Sweet heart Sale will be at the Community Center Social Hall. setting. Parents/guardians are expected to be aware th at their child is at the library. A child may be asked to leave the premises if proper behav ior is n o t m aintained. The police may be notified if a child over 10 is left u n a t tended for an extended pe riod o f time. • Children must know how to reach an adult in case o f an emergency, and both child and adult should be aware o f library hours (Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; closed noon to 1 p.m.) Police may be notified if any child is left stranded at the Library after hours. • The library may not be used as a place for Children’s Protective Service (CPS) vis its. For questions, please con tact 541-553-1078. The first 20 vendors to sign up will get a table (one table per person). Sign-ups have already started, so if interested, please act soon. Family Nite Out this month The Warm Springs Com m unity C enter and R ecre ation Department will present the 2014 Family Indian Nite O u t, Ja n u a ry D ru m m erz Jam, on Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Community Wellness Cen ter Gym. B ring K W S O w ill h o ld its down your favorite dish for a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Come and enjoy a night full o f family games and social dancing, starting at 7 p.m. D ru m m ers, b rin g yo u r h and drum , and ro ck th e house.
