We use chemicals to clean and disinfect, nourish our lawns, get rid o f pests and work on our cars. Unfortunately, we often do not use up all the chemi cal and it gets stored under the sink and in our garages. Over time the containers deteriorate and start to leak, or the product just degrades and doesn’t w ork well any more. O ften times these items ’are then put into our land fill. The landfill is not the best place for these chemicals as there is the potential for con tam ination to water, soils, and wildlife.
